Rocky Mountain Public Media expands radio footprint

Rocky Mountain Public Media has filed an agreement to acquire six full-power FM radio stations and 11 FM translators from Community Radio for Northern Colorado, expanding its radio presence across the state.

Under the terms of the transaction, Rocky Mountain Public Media will assume a $900,000 loan held by Community Radio for Northern Colorado as consideration for the purchase.

The acquisition includes adult alternative “The Colorado Sound,” KJAC (105.5), serving the Denver market, along with news-talk stations KENC (90.7) and KUNC (91.5), which serve the Fort Collins-Greeley market.
