- These are Axios Local’s 42nd and 43rd markets.
Why it matters: Axios is proud to expand its high quality journalism and signature Smart Brevity to the people who live and work in the region.
Zoom out: The launches deepen Axios’ footprint across Arizona.
- Axios Phoenix launched in 2022, bringing readers smart, essential coverage of the news and trends shaping the region.
- Zach Buchanan recently joined Jeremy Duda to co-author Axios Phoenix, further strengthening Axios’ coverage of the area.
How it works: Poonia will provide original coverage on key issues shaping life for residents of these markets.
- Starting Aug. 31, she will send a free “Axios Mesa” newsletter on Mondays and Wednesdays, and a free “Axios Scottsdale” newsletter on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- She will report on both markets on Axios’ website, on Instagram and engage with the communities through local events.
