Nebraska Public Media announces Omaha launch date

It acquired the 101.9 FM signal in February for $1.2 million

June 15 will be the starting date for Nebraska Public Media Omaha.

Nebraska Public Media acquired Class C0 101.9 KOOO(FM) from NRG Media in February for $1.2 million. Since May 13, when the sale officially completed, the signal has been airing preview programming, according to a release.

After the launch, the public radio network will be heard across the Cornhusker State on 14 full-power FM signals and two translators.
